Night at the Bistro with Lee Oskar and Friends, presented by the BlueStar Seattle Children's Hospital Guild, was a grand success! A great time was had by all while benefiting Seattle Children's!
On the evening of November 20th, the legendary Lee Oskar, one of the founding members of the band WAR, performed two awe-inspiring sets while donors enjoyed Mediterranean cuisine from the bistro's kitchen and exquisite Walla Walla wine provided by CBC Distributing.
The event was made possible by the support of our sponsors. Our thanks to Lee Oskar Harmonica's, the North City Bistro, CBC Distributing and BlueStar Construction.
We owe the success of this event to our generous donors. We are truly grateful for each one of you. The funds generated and awareness raised will benefit families of children in need of life saving care. It was a privilege to enjoy the music and festivities amongst some of the kindest and most supportive people in our community!
Each premier donor received a signed Lee Oskar harmonica that evening and an additional one has been donated in their name to a pediatric patient in the music therapy program at Seattle Children's Hospital. Mr. Oskar's gifts will continue to inspire healing in the way that only music can, while our donors have made it possible for all children, regardless of their ability to pay, to receive quality care at Seattle Children's Hospital. Tuesday August 2, 2011 will mark the 28th annual National Night Out Against Crime.
This event promotes neighborhood spirit and community partnerships in our fight for a safer nation.
Please join BlueStar for a fun, family BBQ uniting our Echo Lake neighborhood businesses and residents.
